Drug: Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Classification:Non Narcotic Analgesic
Action: Blockage of prostaglandin stimulation of the CNS. Increase peripheral blood flow and sweating
Uses: Fever reducer, pain reliever for mild to moderate pain.
Doses: Adults & Teens 325-500 mg oral every 3-4 hrs, 600 mg oral every 4-6 hrs, 1000 mg oral every 6 hrs as needed.
Side Effects: Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay colored stool, jaundice.
Drug Interactions: Cold, allergy, pain, or sleeping medications
