Enfield- speaking about the importance of asking questions

I feel very strongly about putting questions, it partakes too much style of the day of judgement. You start a question, and it's like starting a stone.

Enfields Description of Mr Hyde

He is not easy to describe, there is something wrong with his appearance; something displeasing; something down-right dedestable. i never saw a man i so disliked, and yet i scarce know why. He must be deformed or something, he gives a strong feeling of deformity, although i couldn't specify the point.

Dr Lanyon Explains his relationship with Dr Jeckyll, and mentions the difference in there scientific beliefs

"He began to go wrong, wrong in the mind; although of course i continue to keep interest for old sake's sake, as they say, i see and i have seen devilish little of the man, such un-scientific bladder dash," added the doctor, flushing suddenly purple, "Would have estranged damon and pythias"

Utterson talks about how Jeckyll used to be, for shadowing what to come

he was wild when he was young; a long while ago to be sure; but in the law of god, there is no stature limitations. Ay, it must be that; the ghost of some old sin, the cancer of concealed disgrace.

We see how secretive Dr Jeckyll can be

The Large Handsome face of Dr Jeckyll Grew pale to the very lips, and there came a blackness about his eyes. "i do not care to hear anymore," said he, "I thought this was a matter we agreed to drop."
