Disassembly (M9 Pistol)

Fieldstrip Step 1

Back 1

Clear/unload pistol. Allow slide to return fully forward.

Hold pistol with muzzle slightly elevated. With forefinger, press disassembly button on the right side.

With thumb, rotate assembly lever on the left side downward.

Pull slide and barrel assembly forward and remove from receiver.

Slightly compress and lift recoil spring an spring guide from slide. Allow recoil spring to expand slowly.

Seperate recoil spring from spring guide.

Push in on locking block plunger while pushing the barrel forward slightly. Lift and remove barrel assembly from slide.

Unload the magazine

Grasp the magazine firmly with the floor plate end up and the back of the magazine tube against the palm of the hand.

Remove the Floorplate.
