Preparations
25g/50ml preload (D50W)
2.5g/10ml preload(D25W)-INFANT
ADULT dose
25g may be repeated q 5min prn as indicated by BS levels
PEDIATRIC Dose
0.5g/kg D25( D 10 for neonnates) may be rptd q5 min prn as indicated by BS Note: D50->D25 by diluting the vol.1:1
D50->D10 by diluiting the vol4:1
ROUTE
IV; note: typically given when BS is below 60 the 70mg/dl range
