Homicide
The killing of a human being by the defendant.
Murder
Homicide committed with malice.
Malice
Consist of four mental states: Intent to kill, intent to cause serious bodily injury, depraved heart murder and felony murder.
Voluntary Manslaughter
The intentional killing of human being by adequate provocation which arouses a heat of passion causing the defendant to lose his self control.
