There are 4 classes of fire extinguishers: A, B, C and ABC, which one does the warehouse have on all the walls? Why?
ABC.
It can be used for every type of fire.
What are the rules for entering the bailers?
Get a Manager, turn off and remove key, person going into the bailer holds onto the key, turn off main power supply and lock out tag out. Only when all of this is done can you enter the bailer.
What must you wear when using the bailers?
PPE - Gloves and goggles/safety glasses are mandatory.
What is the main reason for signing in or out of the log in receiving and why is it so important to print your name clearly?
Managers use this as a role call in the event of an evacuation. We want to make sure every employee that signed in is out safely.
Where do you meet in the event of a fire when we are closed?
Far right hand corner of parking lot by where Winners receiving is.
When we are open what do you do in the event of a fire?
Cashiers stay at till, assistants see your supervisor as well as everyone else. Help members out emergency and front doors. No merchandise leaves building...if member already purchased have them take receipt and leave buggy.
What do you do if we are getting robbed?
Do what they say, try to remain calm, pay attention to detail of the robber...what he is wearing, shirt, hat, hair colour...but especially shoes because a robber can run and take off his hat, shirt etc. but usually won't change or kick off his shoes. After they have left everyone write down as much info as possible without talking to others about it as stories may get crossed.
What do you do if we get a call in bomb threat?
Remain calm, we have a bomb threat check list by each phone. Obtain as much info as possible and notify management right away.
Power outage...what do you do?
Remain calm, grab a flashlight, see your supervisor, cover doors and await instructions.
When might an employee be asked to perform service or maintenance or other work on any electrical system or equipment?
Never...we have an electrician for this purpose.
What is the thumbs up rule on the frontend?
When scanning product you should keep your hands in the handshake position (with thumbs on top). This helps minimize wear and tear on muscles and tendons when sliding and turning product.

STRETCHING...IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HELP PREVENT INJURIES.
What and where is the safe walk zone?
The safe walk zone is the area the safety committee and warehouse manager has designated for our employees when entering the building in the morning to follow so as not to cross paths with forklifts. It is along the wall in the back heading toward RTV and up the bulk wall to the front.
Name at least 5 of our first aid attendants.
