Transpiration
Transfer of water from plants into vapour in the air
Ground Water
- Some water moves slowly through the land back to the river (through flow).
- This can cause a flood risk when the soil can't hold anymore water (saturated).
Surface Water
Rivers, Streams, Roads.
1. More likely to occur if the ground is saturated (can't hold anymore water)
2. When surface is impermeable like tarmac or concrete. This water moves quickly to the river and streams
