Formed due to modification of proteins or when two or more proteins come together.
Eg: serotonin, melatonin, histamine and epinephrine.
Larger peptide hormones mainly includes insulin and glucagon.
Eicosanoids
Derived from arachidonic acid, prostaglandin (lipophilic) and leukotriene.
Travel by difusing through phospholipid layer.
