x-rays are used in medicine and industry .in medicine they are used to find broken bones or other medical problems because they have a high enough energy to pass through soft tissue but not bones or teeth. they can also use CT scans to give a 3d image of the body.

most x-rays are digital nowadays the x-rays are detected used ccds.
