What are TNCs
A company that is located and sells produces in two or more countries.
They bring investment and promote popular cultures.
They provide jobs and link countries together.
E.g. Apple
How do TNCs form linkages between countries.
They form links through investment.
1) mergers, two companies join together to form one bigger company.
2) acquisitions, when one company buys another.
How do TNCs gain control over their markets
Vertical integration, when a company takes over other parts of the supply chain. (E.g. she'll owns every part of the supply chain)
Horizontal integration, when a company merges and takes over another company that's at the same stage of production. (E.g. Disney took over pixar)
