HTML: Hyper Text Markup Language which is set of markup symbols or codes inserted in a file intended for display on a World Wide Web browser page, created with a focus on how data looks
XML: Extensible Markup Language and is used to structure and describe information, designed to carry data, XML is not predefined, you can create custom tags

FTP: File Transfer Protocol
SFTP: Secure File Transfer Protocol
What is DNS?
Domain Name System: Converts an IP address into a domain name. They contain information for the domain to find the server for the website.
What is POP?
Stands for Post Office Protocol.
An email protocol for incoming servers.
POP is used to RECEIVE emails.
Normally uses 110 for public
and port 995 for secure.
What is IMAP?
Instant Message Access Protocol.
It's also for incoming mail downloads, but it has more features than POP.
IMAP is designed to let users keep their email on the server, but requires more disk space and CPU resources.
Also used to receive emails
Normally uses port 143 for more public access
Port 993 for secure
What is SMTP?
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
Standard protocol for sending mails across internet
Default port is 25
Port 465 used for more secure messaging
