Skeleton found on the outside of the body and is made up of hard material e.g beetles, crabs.

Endoskeleton
Skeleton formed inside the body and it is made up of bones and muscles e.g human beings.
-protects internal organs.
-helps in movement.
-outermost parts are unprotected.
Hydrostatic
Skeleton where body cavity is filled with fluid and this fluid helps to support the organism e.g earthworm.
-allows greater flexibility.
-allows gas exchange to take place.
-very little protection
-limits organism's size
