Pair your device with a Bluetooth accessory - STEP 1
Follow the instructions that came with your Bluetooth accessory or car stereo to place it in discovery or pair mode.
If you aren’t sure how to do this, contact the manufacturer.
STEP 2
On your iOS device, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
You’ll see nearby Bluetooth accessories that your device can pair with.
STEP 3
Choose a Bluetooth accessory. You might need to enter the PIN or passkey.
If you aren’t sure what your PIN or passkey is, check the documentation for your accessory.
STEP 4
To see if a Bluetooth accessory is connected to your device, look for the Bluetooth icon in the status bar of your device.
If you see (white), Bluetooth is on and a device is connected to your iOS device. If you see (gray), Bluetooth is on but no device is connected. If you don't see a Bluetooth icon in the status bar, Bluetooth hasn't been paired with any devices.
You can also see which Bluetooth accessories are paired with your device, and whether they’re connected. Tap Settings > Bluetooth, and look under My Devices.
