RED
Usually means stop
YELLOW
Usually restricts the speed of the movements, but is also used to advanced trains or engines
GREEN
Usually means to proceed
WHITE
Used in night signaling and also as a flag stop for passenger trains
LUNAR
Used in block signals and to indicate certain conditions. Block signals are lights mounted on tall silver masts along the railroad right of way. These lights inform the engineer what track conditions apply.
BLUE
Indicates that workmen are under or about the rail track. No engine or car movement can occur on a section of track that has this signal.
PURPLE
Is used on block signal masts and indicates track conditions.
