What are the differences between monocots and eudicots?
Monocots: one cotyledon, veins usually parallel, vascular bodies in complex arrangement, floral parts usually in multiples of 3, fibrous root system
Eudicots: two cotyledons, veins usually branched, vascular bundles in ring, floral parts in multiples of 5, taproot usually present
What is the difference between terminal and axillary buds?
Terminal- bud with developing leaves/flowers that produces hormones to inhibit growth of axillary buds
Axillary- dormant bud
