What were the conclusions from Rutherford's scattering experiment?
1) since most particles were passed straight through atoms must be mostly empty space.
2) since some particles were deflected through large angles then there must be a large mass (with a positive charge).
Alpha particles fired at a thin gold vacume. What can we conclude from this?
What is the neutrino?
A particle of very small mass and no charge.
What is the mass and charge?
What is antimatter?
Antimatter particles have the same characteristics as matter particles but opposite charges.
Opposites
