Action: blocks dopamine receptors in brain associated with mood and behavior, exerts strong antiemetic effects and impairs central thermoregulation
O: 6-9 m D: hours
Contra: none
side effects: hypotension, long QT syndrome, sedation, Dystonic reaction, Anticholinergic toxidrome
non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist
Action: inhibit NMDA ecepors resulting in dissociate state
O: 1-5 m (IM) D: 10-15 m
Contra: (relative) penetrating eye trauma, pt with known CV disease
Side effects: Laryngospasm (rare), N/V, Tachy, hypersalivation
excited delirium 5 mg/kg
sedative RSI 1 -5 mg/kg
Antihistamine
Indications: acute dystonia from Haldol - can co-administer
Also has anticholinergic effects
