Iliotibial Tract and gluteal tuberosity of the femur
Origin of the Gluteus Medius
Gluteal surface of the ilium (bordered by the post. and ant. gluteal line). Also attaches to the gluteal aponeurosis

Lateral surface of the greater trochanter
Origins of the Gluteus Minimus
Gluteal surface of the Ilium (between ant. and inf. gluteal line)- attaches adjacent margin of greater sciatic notch.

Anterior Surface of the greater trochanter
Origin of the Piriformis
pelvic surface of the sacrum; superior margin of the greater sciatic notch.
Insertion of the Piriformis
(passes through the greater sciatic foramen) inserts into the superior border of the greater trochanter
Origin of the Obturator Internus
pelvic surface of the obturator membrane and the bony margins of the obturator foramen
Insertion of the Obturator Internus
(passes through the lesser sciatic foramen) Inserts onto the Medial surface of the greater trochanter
