Pec major - tight: action - shoulder flexion, internal rotation, or adduction
Look for - shoulders pinching together on the anterior side or bar falling forward w/out a forward lean
Latissimus Dorsi - tight: action - extension, internal rotation or adduction
Look for - shoulders pinching on anterior side or shoulders falling forward w/out forward lean
Trapezius - inactive: action - scapula elevation & retraction, and upward rotation of scapula
Inactive muscle paired with tight pec major or lat dorsi
Corrective Exercises for tight pectoralis major
Stretch pec, wall angels, supine foam roller stretch
Corrective Exercise for tight latissimus dorsi
Foam roll, OH arm stretch, CHILDs POSE, quadruped position 1 arm at a time roll & stretch w yoga ball
More intense corrective exercises
Ball prone cobra, seated yoga ball DB Y raises (only to eye height, thumbs up), med ball squat to cross body raise
