Innervation: Cranial nerves XI and

Action: -Elevates Clavicle
-Extends neck
-Elevates, retracts, depresses and rotates scapula upwards.
Levator Scapulae
Origin: Transverse process of
C1-C4
Insertion: Superior part of medial
border of Scapula.
Innervation: Cervical nerves C3+C4
and C5.
Action: Elevates Scapula.
Pectoralis Minor
Origin: Ribs 3-5 near costal ridges.
Insertion: Coracoid process of
Scapula.
Innervation: Medial Pectoral nerve
C8,T1.
Action: -Depresses and protracts
Shoulder.
- Rotates scapula.
-Moves Glenoid Cavity
Downwards.
-Elevates ribs if scapula
is stationary.
