Graphic images
Vector
Vector images are made up of individual, scalableobjects. Vector graphics may consist of lines, curved edges and shapes witheditable attributes e.g. colour, fill and outline. Changing the attributes of avector graphic does not change the object itself. An object can also be editedusing nodes and control handles to shape and transform the object. Vectorgraphics are resolution independent. This means that the graphic can beresized/scaled without sacrificing the quality of the image because they aredefines by mathematical equations. BitmapGraphics are made up of pixels in a grid. Pixels arepicture elements; tiny dots of individual colour that make up what you see inyour screen.
Bitmap
Bitmap images are resolution dependent; Resolution refers to thenumber of pixels in an image and is usually started as dpi (dots per inch) orppi (pixels per inch).
