Leukocyte contain granulocytes
A....Nueutrophil (polymorphonuclear)light purple granules in cytoplasm .nucleus has 2-5 lobes. Function-increases number in Intel stage of infection. First to move out of capillaries during inflammation.
B....eosinophil bright red granules with a bilobed nucleus. Function fights parasitic infection. C.....basophil dark purple granules that cover up the nucleus . Function releases histamine for vasodilation and also in inflammation and allergic reactions .
Lymphocytes
Small cells with a large nucleus . These are involved in specific immunity -meaning activated by a antigen .
Lymphocyte B cells
Produce antibodies
