Homeless individuals who refuse to stay in shelters and, instead, prefer to sleep on the street.
Such users of emergency services often fail to access preventative care, therefore perpetuating chronic health issues.
Compassion fatigue
A term coined in 1992.
Verbalizes the emotional burnout that healthcare providers experience after treating victims of trauma.
