Metaphysics
It deals with the fundamental questions of reality.
Ex. "Is God male?", "Does reality consist of the mind or the soul?"
Epistemology
It deals with our concept of knowledge (nature and limits), how we learn, and what we can know.
Ex. "What can we know?", "How can we know that we can know?", "Is truth relative or universal?"
Ethics
It is concerned with human values and how individuals should act (morality).
Ex. "Why should I be moral?", "Is morality absolute or universal?", "What is the basis of right and wrong?", "Can morality exist without religion?"
Aesthetics
It deals with the notion of beauty and the philosophy of art.
Ex. "Is aesthetic judgement relative or universal?", "What makes an artwork meaningful?", "What role can art play in social transformation?"
Logic
It studies the nature of valid reasoning and argumentation.
Ex. "What makes an argument valid? Invalid?", "What makes a definition precise?"
