Made from hard magnetic materials that have high remanence and high coercivity.
Ferromagnetic materials
•strong interactions between neighbouring atoms, cause groups to line up in the same direction forming domains.
•when an external field is applied the domains all line up resulting in magnetisation in the direction of the external field.
