What does legal capacity mean?
Legal capacity means the ability to do things in law. All people have the capacity.
What can people enter if they have legal capacity?
People who have legal capacity can enter into the following legal acts...
1. Acquire legal rights
2. Be subject to legal duties
3. Sue and be sued
4. Make contracts(Legal agreements).
5. Acquire and dispose of property such as your house or car or any similar example.
Do different people have different levels of legal capacity?
Yes, people have different level of legal capacity. Not everyone can do all of the above legal acts some have stronger legal capacity than others. Eg. A minor under the age of 18 has a limited capacity to enter contracts with the consent of a guardian, while adults don't need and guardianship.
