People gave him a big round of aplause. To become great you need to connect talent and commitment. If you work on talent you have and you commit to it, you will have more abilities and talent. It comes as a result of choice not as a condition
Qualities of a good team player
1) Adoptable...he changes himself as per the situation or team change him as per situation. He adopts to the situation and helps everyone to win. He never afraid of try out different things.
Adoptable people have following characteristics.
# are number 1 teachable.
# emotionally secure. If the people are not emotionally secure they see every change as a threat and they don't evaluate the change on merit
# creative ..when difficult times comes they find the solution.
# service minded
They serve the team or the situation. Their own agenda is not the priority
2) collaborate ...winning togather
Great challenges require great team work and the most important quality you required in a team is collaboration not cooperation.. four areas are very important to have collaboration within teams.
#perception ...teams dont see each other as competitive.
# attitude ...supportive not suspicious ...some people are so pre occupied that they can see only their targets / goals. Trust among the team is key and it kills the suspicious mindset.
# Focus....concentrate on team or team goals not on self
# result oriented
Collaboration has multiplying affect on a team.
3) committed...there is no half halted champion. Committed people don't surrender or give up easily
