(noun-ul/rul won-hae-yo.)
noun+을/를 원합니다
(noun-ul/rul won-ham-ni-da.)
(NOTE: 을 follows a noun ending with a consonant. 를 follows a noun ending with a vowel.)
Examples:
I want a book.
I want a computer.
나는 책을 원해요.
(na-nun chaeg-ul won-hae-yo.)
나는 컴퓨터를 원합니다.
(na-nun kom-pyu-to-rul won-ham-ni-da.)
(Notice that책 ends with a consonant and takes the particle을. 컴퓨터 ends with a vowel, so it takes the particle를.)
I wanted (a noun).
noun+을/를 원했어요.
(noun-ul/rul won-hae-so-yo.)
noun+을/를 원했 습니다
(noun-ul/rul won-het-sum-ni-da .)
I don't want (a noun).
noun+을/를 원하지 안습니다.
(noun-ul/rul won-ha-ji an-sum-ni-da.)
noun+을/를 원하지 안해요.
(noun-ul/rul won-ha-ji an-hae-yo.)
I didn't want (a noun).
noun+을/를 원하지 않았습니다.
(noun-ul/rul won-ha-ji an-at-sum-ni-da.)
noun+을/를 원하지 않았어요.
(noun-ul/rul won-ha-ji an-a-so-yo.)
I don't want any or just I don't want.
I don't want anything.
원하지 안습니다.
(won-ha-ji an-sum-ni-da.)
원하지 안해요.
(won-ha-ji an-hae-yo.)
아무것도 원하지 안습니다.
(a-mu-got-do won-ha-ji an-sum-ni-da.)
