Explain the initial assessment and how it relates to the rapid trauma survey and the focused exam
Initial assessment allows EMS to identify any life threatening conditions. This information allows EMS to proceed with either a rapid trauma survey(Brief but head to toe) for more serious situations or with a focused exam for patients with a normal initial assessment.
