larger score more likely to be significant
Cohen's d
this calculates the effect size in t tests
effect sizes (Cohen's d)
0.2 - 0.5 = small
0.5 - 0.8 = medium
0.8 + = large
standard form
t(N) = t- value, p = 3 dp (1 or 2 tailed), Cohen's d = 2 dp
