8080 CPU
The 8080 (pronounced “eighty-eighty”) was the first truly usable CPU for anything other than basic calculators. Its frequency was 2 MHz.
8086 CPU
Launched the x86 instruction set architecture in 1978, which allowed for memory segmentation to address larger amounts of memory. Continued on with 80186, 80286, and so on.
