any molecule that can bind specificallyto an Ab. Their name arises from theirability to generate antibodies.
Antibody(Ab)
Molecule has a unique Ag binding pocketthatenables it to bind specifically to itscorresponding antigen. Ab are produced by B cells and plasmacells in response to infection orimmunization, bind to and neutralize pathogens or prepare them foruptake and destruction by phagocytes.
