Define a valid scientific experiment
A valid scientific experiment is one that fairly tests the hypothesis. All variables must be identified and controlled, except for the independent variable which is changed and the dependent variable which is measured.

A reliable scientific investigation is one in which the method is repeated in order to take multiple measurements and show consistency in the measurements.

Accuracy is a measurement of how close a measurement is to the accepted value. It is usually represented as a percentage error from the true value.

A systematic error is one that occurs to the same extent each measurement due to an issue with the method.

Random error
Random error is an error that results due to the variance in experimental or measurement technique. To counter the effects of random error, many measurements should be taken and a mean calculated.
