TTypes of Salter Harris fractures 1 to 5
Type One is separation through the growth plate.
Type II is injury through the physis with part of metaphysis attached.
Type three is injury through the physis longitudinal fracture through epiphysis.
Type 4longitudinal fractures extending into metaphysis thesis and epiphysis.
Type five crush injury to the fish this with a premature closure of the growth plate
Considerations with paediatric fractures
Angular deformities are tolerated better in children as they have greater capacity for remodelling as bone grows.
Cast orthosis may need to include more proximal joints to keep cast on. Fain what are you doing bud that’s good news

Unstable fracture
