Pressure
Defined as the force per unit area acting at right angles to the surface.
Pressure in fluids
•pressure of fluid increases with depth
•perpendicular to surface no matter what the orientation.
•magnitude of force is independent to the orientation of the surface.
Archimedes' Principle
A body immersed in a fluid, partially or fully, experiences an upthrust equal to the weight of fluid displaced.
