SAMPLE SURVEY.
-The technique of collecting information about a portion of the population is called a sample survey.
RANDOM SAMPLE.
A sample drawn in such a way that each element of the population has a chance of being selected is called a random sample.
Systematic variations.
-Refers to a trend of variations that runs through the population.The selection of samples of items for measurement must be undertaken in such a way that underlying variations is accounted for can be separated from specific treatment effects.
