What are the 2 types of antibiotics?
Narrow spectrum antibiotics- affects a narrow range of microbial types. (Penecilin G)
Broad-spectrum antibiotics- affects a broad range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. (Tetracycline)
What causes a superinfection?
A superinfection is a secondary infection occuring during or immediately after the initial infection by a microorganism that is not sensitive to previous antibiotic used for treatment.

What is a bactericidal antibiotic versus a bacteriostatic antibiotic?
Bactericidal kills microbes directly while bacteriostatic prevents microbes from growing (after halting growth, body's immune system usually destroys microbes)
