Areolar Connective Tissue
They have a gell-like matrix containing collagen, elastic and reticular fibres.
Cell types present are fibroblast, macrophages, mast cells, and some WBCs
Areolar CTs can be found in the lamina propria of the mucous membrane, surrounding capillaries and packaging organs
Areolar CTs functions are they wrap and cushion organs, hold and convey tissue fluids, macrophages phagocytize bacteria, mast cells play a role in inflammation.
Other types of loose CTs are adipose and reticular tissues
Other proper connective tissue apart from the loose CTs are the dense CTs divided into dense regular, dense irregular and elastic
