-only slightly younger than Cicero himself, however Cicero refers to him as "young man"
-frequently mentioned or the recipient of Cicero's letters
-Cicero freed him in 53BC but he was very ill, Cicero often seen to be concerned for his health
-believed to have published Cicero's works after his death
-wrote books himself
-credited with inventing shorthand
-after Cicero's death he bought a home and died in 4BC

-renowned for her persuasive tongue, intelligence and strong will
-born into a very wealth and noble family#
-half-sister Fabia was a vestal virgin
-had a very large dowry
-unusual but she chose her husband (Cicero), married in 79BC
-managed her own finances and dowry as well as Cicero's
-Cicero's success partially due to her name and status and wealth
-he trusted her judgment and intelligence
-had children, Marcus and Tullia
-Clodius got Cicero exiled as revenge for speaking against him during the Bona Dea trial, this put a strain on their relationship
-couple divorced in 46BC
Tullia
Cicero's daughter
-married 3 times, all organised by Cicero and Terentia
-first marriage only lasted a few years until her husband died
-second marriage only a year, Cicero go them a divorce
-third marriage to Dolabella, who was very abusive but Cicero needed his wealth and nobility for an alliance
-Dolabella practically killed Tullia, and Cicero did nothing to get her out of the marriage
-after her death Cicero was distraught and ridden with guilt, and sends a letter to Atticus expressing his remorse
Marcus
Cicero's son
-wanted a career more like his uncle then his father
-more military based than academic
-sent to Greece to study but wasn't keen on studying too hard
-Cicero wanted Marcus to be just like him
Quintus
Cicero's brother
-fought in Caesars campaigns in Cisalpine Gaul
-married to Pomponia, Atticus' sister
-Aedile in 66BC, Praetor in 62BC, Propraetor of Asia from 61-59BC
