MOVEMENT
Change of position or place.
Plants - root-down. leaves&stem - up to light
Animals- whole bodies- predators & obtain food.
GROWTH
Permanent increase in size and mass.
Increase in cell number and size.
Plant- throughout their life.
Animals - until certain size.
EXCRETION
Removal of metabolic waste from cells.
Plants - store waste in leaves- they fall off.
Animals - CO2 and urine.
SENSITIVITY
Ability to detect and respond to stimuli.
Plants- leaves-movement of sun.
Animals - sensory cells- light,sound,touch,pressure and chemicals in air&food.
REPRODUCTION
To make new individuals.
Asexual- 1 parent, identical offspring.
Sexual- 2 parents(gametes), variation in offspring.
