Mental Processes
generally refers to a persons thoughts and feelings, which are personal or subjective, and cannot be directly observed.
Behaviour
refers to any externally expressed action made by a living person (or animal) that can be directly observed.
Replication
refers to the reproducibility and repeatability of research and it's results.
sample
is a group that is subset or part of a larger group chosen to be studied for research purposes.
population
is used in psychological research to describe the larger group from which a sample is selected and to which the researcher will seek to apply and generalise the results.
research hypothesis
is a testable prediction about the relationship between two or more variables.
