It is self that tries to live a Christian life!
It is self too that tries to do the Christian work.
Being broken is both God's work and ours.
The willingness of Jesus to be broken for us is the all compelling motive in our being broken to!
Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:5_7
