Underneath that fatty superficial fascia is a membranous layer. It is a thick layer of membrane which encapsulates muscles and neuromuscular bundles. Allows for better movement of muscles.

Cerebrospinal fluid- suspends the brain and is contained by the dura mater.
What are serous membranes?
A membrame which lines the sealed internal cavities of the body. Double layered, filled with serous fluid. Parietal and visceral portions of the membrane. Parietal covers the outer wall of the internal chamber and visceral covers the organ in the body.
