Pituitary Gland / 'Master Gland'
It produces many hormones that regulate body conditions.
These hormones act on other glands and make them release hormones that bring about change.
Thyroid
Produces THYROXIDE.
Involved in REGULATING things like the RATE OF METABOLISM, HEART RATE and TEMPERATURE.
Adrenal Gland
Produces ADRENALINE.
It is used to prepare the body for a 'fight or flight' response.
Ovaries
Produces oestrogen.
Involved in the menstrual cycle.
Testes
Testes produce testosterone.
This controls puberty and sperm production in males.
Pancreas
Produces insulin.
