Fat or triglyceride consist a glycerol molecule, fatty acid molecules, dehydration reaction.
Carbon skeleton of fatty acid has fewer hydrogen it is unsaturated. Maximum hydrogen is saturated
A saturated fat is no double bonds and all three fatty acid saturated.
Fats perform human body of energy storage, cushioning and insulation. Most animal have saturated fatty acids and can be easily stack to be solid. Atherosclerosis contain plaques along inside walls of blood vessels.
Plant and oil fish is high in unsaturated fatty acids and liquid at room temperature.
Lipids steroids
Different from fats in structure and function. Carbon skeleton I'm the functional groups to set of rings and these chemical variations.
Anabolic steroids are testosterone, mimic some it's effects, cause serious physical and mental problems, treat diseases such as cancer and aids and are abused to enhanced performance.
