An early school of psychology used introspection to explore the human mind.
Functionalism
A school of psychology that focuses on how mental and behavioral processes function and enable adaption, survival, and flourishing.
Behaviorism
The view that psychology should be 1) objective and 2) study only observable behavior. Today, psychologists agree with 1 but not with 2.
