What is the cause of Parkinson's disease?
The death of dopamine-containing neurons/defective inhibition of some of the basal nuclei in the substantia nigra (one of the basal nuclei in the midbrain).
However the cause of neuronal death is unknown.
Dopamine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that is required to modulate motor activity, causing muscular rigidity, loss of facial expression, tremor and general lack of facial expression.

What is the treatment for Parkinson's disease?
Treated with Levodopa- a precursor to dopamine or more effectively with Sinemet- a combination of L-dopa & carbidopa. Or glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF)
What is the PNS? ANS?
PNS: peripheral nervous system, everything that's NOT brain and spinal cord.
ANS: sensory division and motor division
