Psoas major: Bodies T12-L5, Transverse processes L1-L5
Iliacus: Iliac fossa, ala of sacrum
I: Lesser trochanter of femur
Inv:
Psoas major: ventral rami L1-L3
Iliacus: Femoral n. L2 (primary) L3
Action: Hip flexion
O: ASIS
I: Superior medial tibia
Inv: Femoral n. L2, L3
Action: Hip ER, Flexion, ABD, aids in knee flex
O: 4 heads with 1 insertion point
Rectus femoris: AIIS, ilium above acetabulum
Vastus medialis: Intertrochanteric line, medial lip linea aspera
Vastus intermedius: Ant. and lat. surface femur
Vastus lateralis: Greater trochanter, lateral lip linea aspera
I: Quadriceps femoris tendon -> Patellar tendon -> Tibial tuberosity
Inv: Femoral n. L2, L3/L4 (primary)
Action: Knee extension, rectus femoris hip flexion
