Time required for the original dose to be reduced by half
First Order Half Life Equations
Cp = Cpo e ^(-kt)
Cpo - concentration of chemical in blood at time 0
k - elimination rate constant
Dependent only on the elimination rate constant
k = 0.693/t(half)
t(half) = 0.693/k
Half life slope
Steeper slope = shorter half life = faster elimination
