Corneal lens

Confined only cornea, this is most common design fot rigid and gas permeable lenses. Corneal diameter may range from 10.5 -12.5 mm while the lens diameter can range from 7.0 - 10.5mm

Semi-scleral lens

Covers cornea, limbus and small area of sclera adjacent to the limbus, a design which is typical of soft lenses. 12-15mm diameter.

Sclera (haptic) lens

Covers cornea, limbus and wide area of sclera, about 25mm (1inch ) diameter. This design is now mainly used for patients with certain types of ocular diseases or injuries, for some athletes, cosmetic reasons and for other special reasons.
